We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive HR Manager for Crowne Plaza Maastricht, who will be responsible for the hotel’s entire HR policy. In this varied role, you will act as a strategic sparring partner for the management team and a trusted point of contact for our colleagues.

Drawing on your knowledge of HRM, Dutch employment law, the hospitality sector collective agreement and the IHG HR Brand Standards, you will ensure a robust HR policy and an optimal employee experience.

Your duties and responsibilities:

• Recruitment and selection of new staff and conducting job interviews.
• Coordinating the onboarding process and ensuring a smooth start for new colleagues.
• Managing all HR administration, personnel files and HR systems.
• Processing and checking salary changes.
• Ensuring compliance with the IHG HR Brand Standards.
• Advising managers and supervisors on HR, employment law and personnel matters.
• Providing support for sick leave and return-to-work programmes in accordance with the Gatekeeper Improvement Act.
• Ensuring compliance with Dutch employment legislation and the Hospitality Sector Collective Labour Agreement.
• Coordinating training programmes and the personal development of staff.
• Managing staff Personal Development Plans (PDPs).
• Actively maintaining partnerships with hospitality colleges and ensuring a positive work placement experience.
• Responsible for the HR payroll budget.
• Analysing HR data and reporting to the Regional HR Director.
• Managing and supervising the HR Supervisor in day-to-day HR tasks.
• Overseeing staff planning and liaising with payroll.
• Taking part in duty management shifts (an average of two shifts per month).

Who are you?

You are a committed, results-oriented and approachable HR professional who can easily switch between operational and strategic tasks. You act as a sparring partner for management, are able to bring colleagues together and feel at home in a dynamic hotel environment. In addition, you have:

• A completed higher professional education (HBO) degree in Human Resource Management (HRM) or a comparable qualification.
• At least 2 years’ experience as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, HR Advisor or in a similar HR role.
• Experience within the hospitality or hotel sector is an advantage.
• Up-to-date knowledge of Dutch employment law, HR processes and the hospitality sector collective labour agreement (CAO).
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
• A proactive, honest and solution-oriented approach.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• The ability to work both strategically and operationally.
