Human Resources Officer
At Crowne Plaza Maastricht, our colleagues take center stage. As Personnel Officer, you will contribute to a warm, professional and inspiring working environment where everyone feels welcome and appreciated. You support our departments and act as a trusted HR partner for colleagues, supervisors and management. With your knowledge of HR policy, Dutch labor law, the Horeca collective labor agreement and IHG HR standards, you will ensure clear guidelines and an HR approach that fits seamlessly with our culture.
In this versatile HR position, your responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for recruiting employees and conducting interviews
- Provide support in HR administration.
– Ensuring onboarding of new employees.
- Maintain personnel files and HR systems.
- Prepare and process payroll changes.
- Ensuring compliance with IHG HR Brand Standards.
- Tracking developments in relevant laws, regulations and collective bargaining agreement.
- Sick leave and reintegration management according to the Gatekeeper Improvement Act.
- Oversee staff scheduling through our payroll and rostering system.
- Ensure that all HR processes comply with Dutch labor laws.
- Management of team members’ PDPs.
- Coordinate and develop training courses.
- Training, mentoring and coaching supervisors and managers in HR and leadership skills.
- Actively maintain partnerships with hotel schools and promote a positive internship experience.
- Responsible for the HR salary budget.
- Analyze and report HR data to the Regional HR Director.
- Provide solicited and unsolicited advice to executives on personnel issues;
- Support the GM with HR-related issues;
- Working duty shifts (2 shifts per month);
We are looking for a colleague who possesses:
- A completed degree in HRM or similar.
- 2 years of experience in similar position, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch labor laws and HR processes.
- Excellent command of the Dutch and English languages.
- Empathy, integrity and discretion.
- A proactive and collaborative attitude.
- You think strategically, act decisively and have an innovative view of HR.
